First online laboratory for 3D modelling, Visible Patient realizes from CT-scan or MRI images the 3D reconstruction of adrenal glands.

What is the purpose of 3D adrenal gland modelling?

3D adrenal gland modelling is useful to:

  • Visualize the location of tumoral pathologies of adrenal glands in 3D,
  • Understand the vascular anatomical variations of adrenal glands in 3D,
  • Monitor tumoral volume evolution following drug therapy (chemotherapy) or radiation therapy (radiotherapy): 4D tumour follow-up,
  • Ease manipulation and understanding of the virtual organ within the framework of information sharing or anatomical training for a medical and non-medical public.

These 3D digital clones can be coupled with simulators to improve training, or to surgical robots to guide the gesture of surgeons.

In which case is the 3D reconstruction of adrenal glands useful?

The 3D modelling of adrenal glands by Visible Patient can be used for following anatomical variations or pathologies:

  • Adenoma
  • Cushing’s syndrom
  • Conn’s syndrom
  • Pheochromocytoma
  • Adrenal metastasis

Glandes surrénales

Why model the adrenal glands in 3D?

3D colon modelling is useful for many applications:

  • Surgery  (open or minimally invasive)
  • Research and development
  • Clinical – preclinical studies
  • Robotic surgery
  • Training
  • Simulation
  • Augmented reality, virtual reality
  • 3D printing

What formats can you use to read your 3D models?

3D organs modelled by Visible Patient can be provided in various formats, in particular STL, VTK, GLB, VPZ…

Furthermore, the 3D models can be exploited from software developed by Visible Patient that is available free of charge on PC, Mac, iOS, virtual and augmented reality head-mounted displays.

The virtual and augmented reality model visualisation software (VP Render) has not been certified as a medical device and cannot be used for clinical purposes on humans. It can nevertheless be used for training purposes as an educational, study or research tool.

Visible Patient reconstructs all the organs of the human body.
