The NDS score seems to be predictive

The first retrospective study conducted on 40 anonymized patient files within the Strasbourg University Hospital shows two major elements: on the one hand, the automatic software is as precise to compute volumes as an interactive method while being much faster.

On the other hand, computed volumes are correlated to the severity class of damage by the virus in the 7 days after image acquisition. These first preliminary results now have to be validated on a larger number of cases to demonstrate these hypotheses.

For Research/Investigational Use only. The safety, effectiveness and performance characteristics of the New Diagnosis of Severity score related to the severity of lung damage induced by COVID-19 described herein, as well as the results, have not been established and is under scientific evaluation.
